Bullion Updates :-
Gold and silver futures were trading with cuts on Friday as higher US Treasury yields dampened the metal’s appeal, while palladium eased off a record high scale a day earlier.
Gold futures on Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) were down 0.08% or Rs 39 at Rs 46,664 per 10 grams. Silver futures declined 0.34% or Rs 234 to Rs 68,403 per kilogram.
Oil prices slipped on Friday, taking a breather after touching their highest in six weeks as economic recovery and bullish summer fuel demand outlook outweighed concerns of wider lockdowns in India and Brazil to curb COVID-19 pandemic.
Pent-up demand for the yellow metal after months of lockdown in 2020 and an appreciating rupee, which saw its price stabilise in the first three months of 2021, helped demand for gold in India rise 37 per cent during the January-March quarter this year (Q1 2021).

Spot gold was up 0.2% at $1,784.94 per ounce by 0101 GMT, having dipped to $1,762 in the previous session, its lowest since April 16. U.S. gold futures rose 0.6% to $1,784.50 per ounce.
