Market Opens:
Indian indices opened on a positive note on April 1 with Nifty above 22,450.The Sensex was up 441.65 points or 0.60 percent at 74,093.00, and the Nifty was up 152.50 points or 0.68 percent at 22,479.40. About 2044 shares advanced, 448 shares declined, and 175 shares unchanged. Hindalco, JSW Steel, Infosys, Bajaj Finserv and HDFC Bank were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were IndusInd Bank, Britannia Industries, SBI Life Insurance.
