Market Opens:
Indian indices opened weak on March 22 with Nifty below 21,950.The Sensex was down 177.89 points or 0.24 percent at 72,463.30, and the Nifty was down 48.20 points or 0.22 percent at 21,963.80. About 1423 shares advanced, 637 shares declined, and 136 shares unchanged. HCL Technologies, Infosys, Wipro, TCS and Tech Mahindra were among major losers on the Nifty, while gainers were UPL, Sun Pharma, Adani Enterprises, Titan Company and Bharti Airtel.
